I. Introduction
"자유롭게 날 수 있도록 (Free to Fly 2021)" is the third digital single from Korean singer and songwriter Kangta, formerly of the boy group H.O.T. It was released on July 14, 2021.
II. Background & Release
During the 2021 SM Summit, SM Entertainment announced it would begin a remastering project of its old music videos and singles and releasing them through YouTube. As part of the project, which includes over 300 songs, the company also announced plans for remakes of some of these songs.
"Free to Fly 2021" was the first song released as part of the project, a remake of the song "Free to Fly," originally released by H.O.T. in 1997. The video also stars fellow SM artists Sungchan of NCT and Winter of aespa.
