  • I. Introduction:

    GHOST9 (고스트나인) is a nine-member boy group under Maroo Entertainment. They made their debut on September 23, 2020 with their first mini album Pre Episode 1 : Door.


    Hwang Dong Jun originally debuted as a soloist in 2017 under the name $ept Rabbit.

    Lee Woo Jin, Choi Jun Seong, Lee Jin Woo, and Lee Tae Seung were former contestants on Produce X 101.

    Lee Woo Jin, Lee Jin Woo and Lee Tae Seung are also members of the unit project group TEEN TEEN.

    Son Jun Hyung was a former contestant on MIXNINE.


    The group is linked to an animation series called GLEEZ.


    GHOST9 Official Fandom Name: Ghostie


    On March 14 KST, the Maroo Entertainment rookie boy group unveiled the official name

    — "Ghostie" —

    during a VLIVE broadcast titled 'Special Day Together with Ghost9.'

    According to the members, "Ghostie" stands for

    "Go High! On your Side Til the End," emphasizing that, to them, their fans are friends who will always stick by their side.

    II. History:

    2020: Debut with Pre Episode 1 : Door, Pre Episode 2 : W.all

    On August 27, OSEN reported that Maroo had finished preparations for the debut of their new boy group in September. The agency confirmed the news, stating that the group will consists of nine members including members of the unit group TEEN TEEN.


    At 12AM KST on September 1, a logo motion video was released on their YouTube channel, revealing the group's official name to be GHOST9. They debuted on September 23, 2020 with their first mini album, Pre Episode 1 : Door.


    On November 25, 2020, Maroo Entertainment announced that the group's second mini album, Pre Episode 2 : W.all, will be released on December 10.


    2021: Now : Where We Are, Here

    On February 17, 2021, Maroo Entertainment announced that group will make a comeback on March 11, with the release of their third mini album, Now : Where We Are, Here.


    2021: Now : Where We Are, Here & Now : When We Are In Love, Hwang Dong Jun and Lee Tae Seung's departure, Now : Who We Are Facing

    On February 17, Maroo Entertainment announced that group would make a comeback on March 11, with the release of their third mini album, Now : Where We Are, Here.


    On May 12, Maroo Entertainment announced that group would make a comeback on June 3, with their fourth mini album, Now : When We Are In Love.


    On September 5, Maroo Entertainment announced the departure of members Hwang Dong Jun and Lee Tae Seung from the group.


    On November 9, Maroo Entertainment announced that group would make their first comeback as seven on November 25, with their fifth mini album, Now : Who We Are Facing.
