FAKY (フェイキー) is a Japanese girl group under Avex's Rhythm Zone record label which debuted on July 29, 2013. The group currently consists of five members; Lil' Fang, Mikako, Hina, Akina, and Taki. However, in the past the group has had lineup changes. Their former members were Anna, Diane, and Tina.
The name FAKY is an acronym for Five Ass Kicking Youngsters and is an additional combination of the words Fantastic and Tokyo.
II. Career
The group was announced on July 19, 2013. Their original debut lineup of Anna Diane, Tina, Mikako, and Lil'Fang, was announced on July 22. They finally debuted with Better Without You on July 29, 2013
FAKY went into hiatus in June 2014, but they drop their first album The One on iTunes later on July 2, 2014.
They came back in October 2015. Akina became a new member while members Diane and Tina departed.
FAKY and FEMM came together to make the supergroup Famm'in in 2016 and released an EP that shared the same name as their group name.
On June 14, 2017 FAKY had their major label debut with the EP Unwrapped.
Anna later revealed through Instagram that she decided to quit the group on November 16, 2018 to do acting. She made her final appearance as a group member in their tour fo(u)r on December 20. FAKY also revealed the news on that day of the addition of new members Hina and Taki, and plans to continue as a five member group.
Akina dropped her single Touch for her official solo debut on November 27, 2020.
