bugAboo is a girl group under A team Entertainment comprised of six members. Their current lineup is Rainie, Yoona, Cyan, Choyeon, Eunchae, and Zin. They debuted with their single album, bugAboo, on October 25, 2021.
II. Career
The group was first announced via an Instagram post by A team Entertainment's CEO Ryan Jhun on March 7, 2019. The members also performed on 2019 Miss Malaysia pageant's Gala Night as ISE or "Innocent Sexy Eyes". They were initially set to debut in late 2019, but no further news was given until December 31.
On that day, self-written profiles from the members (besides Yunjun) with initials and baby photos were posted. During this time, the members were called; E.C, R.J, Y.N, C.E, C.Y, H.B, and S.Y. Over time, their identities would be revealed through dance covers sans S.Y who departed before debut.
In May 2020, Ryan Jhun announced the group's debut would be pushed back from March 2020 to a later date in 2021 due to the pandemic.
On August 4, 2021, TikTok accounts for their "Bug" and "Boo" units were launched.
On September 1, 2021, a logo teaser and silhouette teaser was revealed. Their debut date was also given as October 2021.
Their single album was dropped on October 25.
On November 1, they revealed their official fanclub name as Rainboo.
