II. Bio
Chanmi was born in Gumi, South Korea. When she was at elementry school her parents devorced and she and her three siblings lived with her mother. She started performing on the streets and wanted to become an idol to financially support her mother who ran a hair salon. She became a trainee at FNC Entertainment during her middle school.
III. Career
2012
On August 9, she made her debut with the song "Elvis" from their debut single album "Angels' story" under FNC Entertainment as a member of AoA group.
2014
She made it into the final round of MBC Music's Idol Dance Battle D-Style.
2015
She performed in both a solo dance stage and a joint dance stage in MBC's DMC festival.
2016
She competed in KBS's Muscle Queen Project.
In November, she made her debut as an actress with her first lead role in the web drama "What's up with these kids".
Chanmi was also a part of AoA cream subunit with her fellow AoA members Yuna and Hyejeong, their "I'm Jelly Baby" MV was released on February 12.
2017
In March, she participated in an idol actor survival variety show called "I am an actor" which she placed first and won a role in the movie "Lookism".
2019
In June, she was cast in the web drama "Love formula 11M".
2021
On June 29, she co-starred in the movie "A different girl".
