I. Introduction
"Highway to Heaven (English Version)" is a digital single by the permanent NCT sub-unit NCT 127. It was released on July 18, 2019.
II. Background and Release
After the success of their full album Regular-Irregular in 2018, NCT 127 embarked on their first concert tour, Neo City: The Origin, spanning Asia, Europe, the U.S. and Canada. The EP We are Superhuman was released as NCT 127 reached the North American portion of its tour, with the release heavily supported by U.S. promotional events and special social media shows like NCT 127 Hit the States.
The original Korean version of the song was pre-released on May 14 ahead of the EP. The English version was released on July 18, 2019 following the North American leg of the tour. This was NCT 127's first English single, although they had featured on two previous English collaborations.
The music video was shot in the Mojave Desert in California over two days during the Neo City tour. The song was performed during NCT 127's continuing American promotional tour, including the national morning show "Today" and as the first K-pop group to perform at the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in November, a popular U.S. event.

"Highway to Heaven" reached #5 on the U.S. Billboard World songs chart. It was named on Billboard, MTV and Refinery 29's best k-pop songs and b-sides of 2019.
