The Cursed

I. Introduction

The Cursed is a 2020 South Korean television series starring Uhm Ji Won, Jung Ji So, Sung Dong Il, and Jo Min Su. It aired on tvN every Monday and Tuesday at 21:30 (KST) from February 10 to March 17, 2020. It tells a story about a zealous investigative reporter who, while looking into the shady dealings of Forest, the nation's largest IT company, encounters a teenage girl with a startling supernatural ability.

II. Synopsis

Im Jin Hee is an enthusiastic reporter, out to do the right thing. She covers a violent case involving Forest, the biggest IT company in South Korea. The chairman of Forest is Jin Jong Hyun, who relies heavily on shamanism. During her investigation, Im Jin Hee learns of a spiritual consulting company that is affiliated with Forest. The head of that affiliate company is Jin Kyung. While trying to reveal the secret behind Forest, Im Jin Hee meets So Jin, who is possessed by a spirit and has a special ability.

Averaging at 4.233% viewership nationwide ( 2.492% & 6.721% being the lowest &, the highest respectively), The Cursed has gotten the high scores of 7.8 on Mydramalist, 8.8 on, iQiyi, & 7.3 on IMDB. Screenwriter Yeon Sang Ho had also said that he would go on with season 2 if the viewing rate reaches 3%.
