I. Introduction
"Wow Thing" is is a digital single from a collaboration of four Korean female artists: singers Chungha, Seulgi of Red Velvet, SinB of GFRIEND and rapper Soyeon of (G)I-DLE. It was the fourth release of SM Station X 0 and was released on September 28, 2018.
II. Background and Release
SM Station is a digital music project under SM Entertainment that involves solos or duets from members in existing SM groups, as well as opportunities for singers to experiment in other genres or collaborate with artists inside and outside of SM Entertainment. The project releases a number of singles digitally each year on digital platforms, including streaming audio like Spotify.
Chungha is a singer-songwriter and was the former main dancer and lead vocalist of girl group I.O.I. Seulgi is the main dancer and lead vocalist of Red Velvet. SinB was the main dancer and a vocalist of the former group GFRIEND. Soyeon is the main rapper and leader of (G)-IDLE. Seulgi is the only member of the collaboration from SM Entertainment.
The song was described as a pop dance song that mixes hip hop beat and pop sensibility.
