I. Introduction

WOODZ is a sololist under Yuehua Entertainment. He initially started his music career in the boygroup, UNIQ, with their single, 'Falling in Love' in October 2014. He was also one of the members that started the co-ed project group, M.O.L.A, in August 2015.

He participated in the competitive rap TV show, 'Show Me the Money 5' in 2016. He was in round three which were one on one rap battles. He received poor evaluations, thus did not proceed further in the competition.

He made his official solo debut under the name, Luizy, in the same year with his own self-produced single, 'Recipe'. The name 'Luizy' comes from the Brazillian slang, 'Luizinho'. Which is something people there would call people who were shorter in height. WOODZ used to be called that when he lived there. So him calling himself Luizy at that time was a small homage to his past.

While Uniq never officially disbanded, the group has not done any activities since 2018. Thus WOODZ hasn't been involved with them in recent years.

His current stage name, WOODZ, was first used in the credits of the album, RYU : III, by EDEN. WOODZ helped co-produce the song, '93' and he was also a feature on another one called, 'Dance'. The meaning of WOODZ is that he has the thought process of 'deep roots and light branches. He has "a rooted, solid attitude about things, and tries to keep his thoughts light".

In March, 2019, he participated in MNET's survival program, Produce X 101. As he finished 5th, he was allowed to join the official lineup of the group, X1. X1 debuted on August, 2019 with their EP album, 'Emergency: Quantum Leap'. X1 later disbanded in 2020 due to contraversies caused by MNET with voter manipulation.

After the disbandment of X1, WOODZ decided to resume solo activities, and had a revival comeback on June 29th, 2020 with his first mini-album, 'Equal'. Later that year, he announced his official fandom name as MOODZ. Which symbolizes the love his fans have for WOODZ' romantic "mood". MOODZ shares his feelings and are his inspiration. Since his solo comeback in 2020, he has continued to release more solo music.
