  • I. Synopsis

    When fireman Kim Ja-Hong dies after a heroic rescue, he is guided by three grim reapers, Gang-Rim, Haewonmak and Lee Deok-Choon. They direct him through the afterlife and explain how he must go through the seven trials (Betrayal, Violence, Filial Impiety, Murder, Indolence, Deceit, and Injustice) in forty-nine days to determine his fate after death.


    II. Reception

    Along With The Gods became the second highest-grossing film in South Korea, grossing more than $105Million USD.

    After the success of the first film an adaptation the next year came shortly after titled Along With The Gods: The Last 49 Days. In 2018 there was said to be another third and fourth part scheduled in the future.
