All the new boygroups like BoyNextDoor, TWS and Riize. I haven't stanned a boygroup since TXT and its so hard to get into boygroup music for me.

I don't think so (G)idle are in such a great position because they are the biggest act. They can ask for anything they want and negotiate. What's CUBE gonna do but agree to it and be willing negotiate they can't lose them.

The process to separate Newjeans/Adore would take so long and it wouldn't be worth it. Other groups will be promoting and taking advantage of their absence.

I stayed up till 5am in the morning reading transcripts of the conference and then woke up 3 hours later and have been up since. Honestly need a nap lol!

Agree, she has made things hostile between the groups and I especially feel bad for ILLIT being so new. Now Newjeans are the odd ones out if they are siding with MHJ. Hopefully there hasn't been that much damage.

The crux of the issue is she wants to get the benefits of being apart of sub label without the control. Honestly I don't believe she ever wanted to leave HYBE she did all of this as punishment and warning for copying Newjeans and hoped the bad press would get HYBE to stay out of her business when it pertains to her label.

Every CEO of Kpop company has sent one of these text about a group guarantee. If you're not aiming to take out the competition what is even the point of your group?

I'm sure someone will make a thread to summaries soon but I'd say hop in the thread because the conference is live so you can still catch up and read like the last 10 pages or so.

Not taking a hard stance but MHJ could have just used her frustrations about ILLIT to continue evolving Newjeans. At the end of the day she's in a sub label and doesn't fully own her group so all her mess has done is create bad press.

Newjeans is gold for HYBE they will holding on to that group for dear life. I think the question is if Newjeans can recover from all this mess. I could see HYBE kicking MHJ out but if they do the groups sound and aesthetic fans love so much will likely change so I could see that affecting them. I don't think there is a reality in which MHJ gets the rights to Newjeans but no doubt that route would be messy and the group attached to her name will sour their reputation. Overall I hope both groups are doing okay.

Pure fanfiction and Taylor Swift isn't the sole benchmark for success, I don't really care about competing with her. This like people who downplay Beyonce's success because Taylor does bigger than numbers than her.
