It's really weird when it's obvious that a stylist put idols in fashionable baggy clothes for dance practice... extra weird when they decided work boots are part of a dance outfit

I was thinking I wish it hit harder when I first listened, but 6 hours later and I'm still playing it (after checking out the b-sides), so bop

I believe there is other life in the universe, especially considering life can exist in so many forms.
Now that I think about it, the likelihood of intelligent advanced civilizations is not zero. The likelihood humans and those aliens encounter each other is another story.

why do people recommend soaking flowers to remove bugs in the sink or tub...that just means the bugs are going to crawl around your house

When Youtubers in a completely different environments, climates, latitudes (and longitudes) convince you to grow flowers... My fail-safe is to use my siblings' money to pay for it, so it doesn't feel like a waste if it fails.

of course the feedback and report button are the same one that leads to only the option to report someone instead of giving feedback

Waterproof bandages are so useless when 99% of cuts that need them are not on flat taut smooth skin.

Doing lazy ab workouts keeps making me think I'm hungry but it's actually super faint aching that doesn't feel like aching

The comparison aspect is one part, but the part that is less talked about is that it takes the place of social interaction, even when people are with each other in person. I recently listened to a podcast with a psychiatrist who is currently head of the longest running human study ever (84 years) following the same friends and family from one neighborhood throughout their lives. He (among many others) emphasized the importance of human connection. Those who were happiest in old age had really good relationships with their friends and family.
People think they're getting the same (or similar) relationships from social media, but it's obviously not the same. It's not just social media either, it's all of technology that is at one's fingertips instead of being in the moment and focusing on people.

Why does Youtube try to sneak in a weird recommendation every third video on the side

No, stir fry beef does not help prevent a blood sugar crash

I see her conflating all medications to do the same thing and I raise her the Vietnamese word for anti-viral medication.
I also see that I won the argument because she went silent for a bit before starting an irrelevant high minded lecture

Wolf because that bridge. I pretend the rest of it doesn't exist
