So we circle back to asking if ONLY Korean groups can be nominated for best K-pop?
Can XG be nominated? Could a hypothetical all Filipino K-pop group that has the trappings, the sounds and the promotional style of K-pop be considered? Why is it fair to only ringfence one nation if they are going for awards on international stage?
Or, again...
Is it fairer to have a more catch-all "International Artist" (like the Oscars do for film). Can kpop stand then against the LatAm giants? Or maybe an "Asian Artist" award that would also encompass Jpop, Cpop and other Asian nations?
Asian artist makes more sense but kpop is more known name itself and attracts people I think that's why

Which western award shows? Do we know how many awards "Brit-pop" won in Bulgaria? Or Luxembourg?
British artists obtain mainstream popularity in America because they speak the same language. Kpop artists do not.
Jungkook is nominated with other western artists so language isn't a thing, i guess impact is maybe, because i dont understand then

There have been many Awards established for kpop artists I know but it's my first time seeing the best kpop album award, has any other award show done this? It's so weird, I wonder why they not include kpop artists with western artist lists
