uh, they're big for a k-pop group I guess, but outside of BTS I wouldn't say any k-pop group is "huge" in the US, so it's a low bar.
though the GP doesn't really care about pop music anymore, much less k-pop, so it is a pretty big achievement to be as "big" as blackpink are atm, I will give them that.
I'd personally rather have a dedicated fandom who are bound to buy my music/merch/attend concerts/ect than a GP who are extremely fickle and can lose interest extremely fast (though having both is most preferable, not many artists have both), especially in an industry that is as fast paced as the k-pop industry.
k-pop as an industry has always been mainly supported by fandom power over anything else, there's a reason companies invest a lot more into boygroups .
