This is why I don't like when Kpop "rappers" doing a collab with Western rappers! They always outshine them, just like Doechii did with Jennie! Sorry, not sorry! Also, I'm so done with this overused autotune trend. Can we remove it from Kpop, like completely! The song itself is not bad, but it's nothing that we didn't hear before. The same old:

The MV has some creative parts, tho!

FLOWER was Jisoo's FIRST ever solo song when BP was at their peak, basically, and it wasn't a typical full-on EDM, like her new song. It was more like a typical Dance-Pop! Again, don't talk about genres if you don't know anything about music.
"Love Hangover" is literally my fave Jennie song, like, EVER! So far! But it's basically like an indie slow RnB-Pop song that not many people love.

Mantra was also for the western market, got limited in its diffusion on melon for whatever reason, and still entered the top 10 easy and did great on spotify. so what?
It was released only two month ago and now out of nowhere Jennie turned into an epic nugu struggeling in the 90's or even just to enter melon top 100 ??? alonside Jisoo? lol, who believes that sh*t?

We all gotta be very honest. The fandom might be split now with all of the members dropping songs here and there, right. But the main point is: the song is mid and Jisoo lacks presence. It makes us less and less eager to comeback and stream the MV or the song again.
This release isn't intimate nor mainstream. It's a song about the first stage of falling in love EDM based, it's not new nor everyone's cup of tea and guys, I love Jisoo, but I rather she focus on her acting career. Our girl still has a very stiff torso and it shows on her choreo.
The song and album I dont think are mid and I dont think she really lacks presence? I thought her dancing was pretty good also but I guess just differences of opinions

Idk but it is harder to chart on Indonesian Spotify compared to other SEA countries. Indonesians might not liked the song.
Same happened with Aespa. Whiplash couldn’t enter top 200 of Indonesian Spotify chart for several days. But then it got to the chart after it became a little more popular there.
Yt views will be high regardless because everybody checks on YT first.
I dunno I think if shes getting good YT views from SEA her streams should be at least decent.

They released not only a group album, but 4 different solo albums almost every year! Meanwhile, doing tours! So, BP is not that special!
