Is Dreamcatcher just not a thing ?

Makes sense , you have maybe 3 girls (Yujin, Xiaoting and Bahiyiih ) with individual popularity .

The general public would be hard pressed to name all of the other girls .

The fact that Garam is brought up continuously like she wasn’t in the group for 2 weeks only

We’re talking about multiple million sellers and continuous chart success .

Lessarafim had barely made itself known when she left .

I mean , yes and no . Charting wise , most of them aren’t doing great , but sales wise most of them have broken first day/week sales , which at the end of the day , albums pay the bills.

It’s almost like they’re afraid of being judged like Momo from Twice was

At the end of the day , their album sales are constantly increasing . And that pays your bills more than songs .

That’s why I find it hilarious when you have those “net worth “ videos and the girls are worth like only 2 millions .

There’s no way you stick with a company almost 7 years earning this much revenue both in Korea and Japan and not get a significant piece of the action .

Better songs , stronger visuals . I stan both groups but I could see fromis9 songs appealing to a wider audience . You also have the built in fandom from idol school

Everglow only had the hype from Yiren and Siyeon on Produce 48 . And they have that “noise “ music sound . If they had followed the sound of Ladida , I think they would be charting by now .

Girls groups are more geared towards the GP , so when they get into scandals , the reactions are more vicious . Also sexism but that’s another can of worms .

Boy groups are marketed so that they have a fandom that grows every come back . Hence why you see them survive controversies more easily because a fandom tends to be biased positively towards you .

But that’s just my 2 cents from being in Kpop since like 2007
