So true, they were just too awesome and considering that they were not that experienced but yet did such an amazing job, kudos to them, have you watched their happy camp ep?
Was it different about the villains in the novel? I agree all the villains were pure evil in the drama, I had zero sympathy for none of them.
I already have watch the happy camp ep. All the actors really did a good job.
Did you already read the novel ? I'll keep it vague to not spoil the plot line in the novel except for the the one that showed in The Untamed.
Xue yang and Jin Guangyao/Meng yao become the villains because of their bad past. The crimes they did in the drama are the same like in the novel but the novel and the audio drama showcase their backstory better. The drama cut some Jin Guanyao/Meng yao backstory.
Other villains like Wen Ruohan and Jin Guanshan are both purely evil in the drama and the novel.
Wei Wuxian is both the villain and the protaganist except for he have a good ending. He can end up like Xue yang if Jiang Fengmian did not find him when he is still a child. The drama change the plot line a little to make him lean more toward white area.
The original novel is quite gore. The drama tone down it a bit to pass the cencorship. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji have like 5 chapters of sex scenes. The sex scenes is not for everyone. The author mention that her novel is an adult novel, so I don't really recommend minor to read it.
The author is really good at the world-building. All 3 of her works are visually pleasing and I really love the gore.

I wish I read the novel first before watching The Untamed. I really like the gray anthem in the novel. People that only watch the drama would pretty much hate the main side character or the villain without empathize with them (except for a few villains that have no justificable reasons)
