Taehyun is the one that said his happiness is proportional to their album sales, asked fans to stream video until it hits a certain milestone, and said he wants moas to give TXT a #1 entry on BB200 US (I could talk about this one more but not today). honestly, he's a marketing genius, kinda.... He knows how to work his fans to get himself money easily.

I think this is a bit divisive among nonmoas. Some people like that he doesn't hide his true wants (we all know not all idols are in the business because they're actually passionate), some people say he shouldn't say things like these to his young, impressionable fandom.

I'm curious what's your opinion. (keep in mind this is not a bashing thread but a discussion thread, you can say both negative and positive opinions but try to stay rational)

also, what is your opinion on a possible new trend of fans forcing songs to become tiktok trends?

    Approved the thread.
  • every idol has such goals, no matter how much their fandom denies it.

however, i think it's a bit manipulative if the idol keeps bringing up these 'goals' for their fans

asking your fandom a certain amount of views/streams/... is a bit weird to me bc it doesn't come across as just goals for them, as artists, anymore but more like demands of the fans.

  • he should ask HYBE to actually promote their music then

  • As a moa and having Tae as a bias, it's obvious that I appreciate his sincerity, that's exactly why he's my bias (I'm looking for the most sincere Idol there can be). I can understand why he seems to manipulate, but I don't think it's like that since he says things clearly, he doesn't disguise it with "I'll be happier and you too" he just wants it and says it and being a moa someone who appreciates him seems normal to me. there are idols who ask for exotic snacks, wins, etc and their fans get it for me it's the same

  • I think Hybe asked him to do this, this strategy worked for bts, armys worked hard for everything bts asked for (what yoongi wants, yoongi gets). When svt joined Hybe I saw a clip of their one of their member expressed their desire of some achievement..

something hybe still doesn't seem to realise is that no one of these groups are actually bts. what worked for bts, only worked bc they were bts. they made it look so easy that even their company thinks it's easy to replicate... it only leads to dissapointment for both the fans & the artist.
