Both haven't had a comeback in a long time (at least by kpop standards) so both comebacks are highly anticipated.

What I will say, is that BTS probably shouldn't release dynamite 4.0

I think there's a bit of disco pop fatigue atm and I think that'd definitely give BP the edge.

But be that as it may, I'm looking forward to both comebacks because both groups rarely disappoint.

Mic drop is exactly that and it still is one of bts most liked songs by gp and even armys i rarely see people talking shit about it like ptd, dare i say it's probably in top 3 most liked.

For BTS, it depends on the song. GP don't really vibe with On much so if it's anything hard-hitting like On, they won't do as well as their pop songs.

GP prefers YG songs is what I feel.

As for BTS, it depends on the song.

BTS has a clearly bigger fandom that will mass download and will put them ahead in gaon and mass streaming in small platforms like bugs or genie that would block PAKS, on top of that, it is a BTS BTS comeback unlike LGO and SL back in oct 2020 that were a 2nd single and a feature, the anticipation wasn't big for them because Dynamite already had consumed most of the hype and that is why LSG managed to do better than those. BP will have hype but if BTS is coming back their hype gets reduced and ends up in worse initial performance like IC. Longevity will depend on the song, but initial charting goes to BTS
