Why don't some companies want their groups to have solo activities?

  • Is it because they want them to renew again as full group? I wonder what's going on in jyp's mind. šŸ¤”

  • cause they are eeeeeeeeeeevil :cursing::cursing:

  • Most likely.

Also to prevent one member overshadowing group activities?

  • or because no one member has real solo potential and if they did bad in their solo, it'll affect the group. No one is Suzy. JYP hit diamond back then and is still mining.

  • Two possible reasons

1-If one member has a fantastic solo it changes the power balance between both the member and the company as well as the power balance between the member and the group.

2-A popular member who has a poor solo debut or even bad solo variety appeareance has exposed their weaknesses and have therefore exposed themselves to both ridicule and loss of fans.

    Also this

or because no one member has real solo potential and if they did bad in their solo, it'll affect the group. No one is Suzy. JYP hit diamond back then and is still mining.

  • Besides solo schedules making harder to combine with group schedules, it's because if idols get too big or if idols get too ambitious about their solo careers you think some of them would want to continue with their groups or they would want to focus 100% on their solo career? If group schedules are holding my solo career back, I'd want to stop with group stuff

  • Basically bad management.

Or better said, lack of vision, imagination, guts, good communication, good resource management and planning.

Other companies succeed in having their artists have solo activities next to their group activities and be successful with it to the advantage of both company as artists. If some companies that are large enough aren't capable of doing that, then it's a failure on their side and fans shouldn't just be accepting of companies doing it like that.
