All he has to do is end up in one of the many body cam or drone video and cctv footage from the Ukrainian military that often shows live combat you can see it on basically any news channel or YouTube and other places where unfortunately you see people killing each other.

That's the big difference about today's wars vs past where people only had a take from the reporter the media or a newspaper. Today's war is live streamed unedited and raw as everyone in battle has camera's for various reasons from intelligence /spying to commad and communication as the commander can see exactly what the soldiers see and direct accordingly. Everything from troops to tanks to trucks to guns have cameras on them plus the various CCTV that are around modern cities. Not to mention drones and satellites
