Why was lovesick girls such a hit in Korea?

I love the song but it doesn’t have the usual qualities of a huge hit tbh. No catchy dance, viral moment, no big achievement internationally (like other bp hits).

I don’t even think it charted that well in Korea when it was first released, but climbed the chart after peaking at 520k uls

The fact that it peaked at #2 on melon after like a month and being stable with over 500k Uls only behind dynamite was impressive plus it managed to stay inside melon top 10 for 22 weeks until march was even more impressive considering christmas release bomb and IU release

Song is good. Not in a banger way but it's got that nostalgic feeling you can't stop replaying to. It's also bp, that gotta help

I think it's one of the best BP song out there. Besides You Never Know. Savage's not bad either.
