  • basically like a lot of liberal arts degrees in the US, which I’m usually not a fan of since they lead to general job occupations that usually don’t even require a degree…. so all those student loans for nothing.

I think it's good for those who has been in business and just want a degree.

I'm skeptical if the program is well-designed. Like, why grouping idol with influencer, why making idol learn tap dance and Thai dance and not hiphop, What students will learn in "hobby" class, etc.

By the way, usually, in Thailand, collegiate degree is required to get a general job.

I lived in Philippines for 3 years and it was the same thing there. Many department stores requiring a bachelors degree just to work as a cashier or salesperson in a clothing store.

The program seem to target those who are into pop culture/entertainment but I highly doubt they’ll be able to help those students realize their dreams of becoming an idol or influencer. Alot of those classes in the syllabus just seem like minor classes others take for extra credits. They just lumped all of them into one program and called it a degree of some sort….
