    Itzy and Momo land had hit songs but the 3rd gen groups released big hits during that time so it swallowed them. Aespa didn’t have a competition this year. Bts only released English songs , all twice releases flopped . Blackpink didn’t have a comeback . Itzy would have had it if they weren’t in the time where 3rd gen was incredibly active

    NL was not an instant hit, it took time to climb on chart and later peaked months later. saying that aespa has no competition is just an excuse for how well the song is actually winning against some of the big names this year, remember that they were only like 6 months old.

    aespa success are the combination of big hype, luck after getting national hits, interesting concept , all rounder members composition etc. These combination were make aespa special, i guess in this 4th gen the stars are aligning for them. Not necessarily the only cause was 3rd gen decline . Last year, itzy cameback first before aespa and they still couldn't do it. Aespa came after indie forever (flopped) and they came with a Bang after that What the excuses?

    So itzy can get a hit when 3rd gen was strong but nor when it's weak? Why shouldn't aespa be hyped when you guys would hype twice or blackpink for the same achievements?

    All I see in every answer is visuals. No surprise in this manufactured nonsensical genre, they're nothing special, just another fabricated group whose company in Korea is buying popularity at all costs.
