but they do
it has nothing to do with gender, it is not something that's unique to women (or men for that matter)
it is a case by case situation and it shouldn't be generalised against women as if they are incapable of taking any decisions or having any preferences that aren't dictated by hormones or sexual urges.
-
same goes for assuming fangirls cannot think critically

said this because i have seem a lot of gg stans accusing bgs stans of being more shallow

that's not misogyny lmao that's something people say about stans in general

even bg fans use it to put each other down

it is misogynistic when it is used specifically against fangirls to dismiss their opinions, hobbies and preferences.

it's not used specifically against them. every fandom that involves a conventionally attractive celebrity gets told that they only stan that person because of their looks

It's mostly internalized misogyny. A bunch of grown adult women are still trying to pull the "not like other girls" card to the point that they will insult themselves to feel like they have the upper hand against another woman.

More like it’s internalized misogyny and prejudice without the “not like other girls” card

i never said it did
why is it so hard to admit people stan visuals in kpop?

man why is it so hard for people to just *not* be discriminatory (at least keep the thoughts within the borders of the mind)
It’s because it’s not until recently that this was seen as misogynistic. It used to be so normalized that women themselves would glorify these stereotypes.

It's a fact that people stan visuals. But it's also a fact that they can just as easily stan for the music or any other reason that isn't visuals. The problem is when people try to push a narrative about a group of girls being incapable of critical thinking or genuinely liking something for its actual artistic worth, not the visual of the person presenting it. That's what I'm talking about.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. It's so sad seeing women put other women down just for 5 seconds of Internet validation.
