[Opinion] Despite being BTS at their most bombastically Korean, IDOL was labeled a "westernized flop" due to their 2018 hate trend.

I also remember people hated the music video but honestly tho without understanding all the Korean elements I still enjoyed IDOL and still do. From beginning to end the song makes me hyped. The criticism about it being westernized comes with it being from BTS because everything BTS does will be critiqued for catering to the west.
