It's alright and it has a time and place in what I listen to, but I prefer J-rock or J-indie.

Jpop kinda feels like anime-ish? It feels like an anime OST. I listen to SKE48 songs because of Jurina and that's kind of the vibe I'm getting from them...
I was into J-rock - into Babymetal specifically before though. I have their songs on repeat a lot and it never fails to energise me! I listen to it when studying since it helps me focus for some reason.
