Threads targeting specific fandoms for discussion?
What's the point of making a thread in the general kpop section if you're going to verbally limit the participation to your own fandom? Take it to the guild or the artist official thread and use the taglist to notify your fellow fans. I once was in a forum that banned these kinds of threads. The general section should be a free zone for everyone to use, if you want only fans to comment and discuss then what are you doing in the general section?
What about fandoms that don't have a guild? They can't post anything?
Official artist threads?
Of course everyone is free to post but the problem is the moment you make a point of dedicating the thread to your fandom alone, you already create a sense of hostility and make others feel unwelcome.
The general section should be a place for all posters to discuss and share opinions without having to tiptoe around individuals or entire fandoms gatekeeping threads and discussions. And if you only want to see takes from your fellow fans, what's the point of clogging the general section?
