As everyone knows, there’s two formats people have to vote for as of now
1. Cell Vote: Vote for 3 cells which are K-C-J based
2. 3x3x3 Vote: Vote for 3 individuals per nationality
From the looks of it, the K-Group has more popular girls individually than the C-Group & J-Group. So as a collective, K-Group has a higher advantage than the non K-Groups
Thing is, this is a higher advantage for the more popular girls of C-Group & J-Group that surpasses almost all of K-Group
For example, let’s say there are 4 people watching the show. Person A, B, C, & D
Person A is a Bahiyyih stan, Person B is a Yujin stan, Person C is a Yeseo stan, and Person D is a Chaehyun stan
Thing is, if all 4 of those people are also Hikaru stans, that puts Hikaru’s position at a much higher rate
When you look at the J-Group Hikaru, Yurina, and Mashiro are the holy trinity by far (although Momoko seems to be on the rise)
When you look at C-Group Ruiqi, Xiaoting, Ziyin and from the looks of it now Cai Bing are the more popular girls (I heard Koreans really like Hsienwei too tho)
Almost every dream top 9 or predicted top 9 I see have at least 3/7 of girls I listed who’s the most popular among C-Group & J-Group
The voting format ensures that an equal amount of girls per nationality makes it throughout the competition
And that the final lineup should have a decent mix of all nationalities instead of something stupid like 7 Koreans 1 Japanese & 1 Chinese or something
Inb4 someone says “that’s not the permanent voting format” as if the 3x3x3 thing is going away anytime soon. Maybe towards the finale it’ll be free for all land, but realistically Mnet is gonna make sure there’s a balance throughout at least most of the competition
That’s why tbh, I wouldn’t be surprised if the coming #1’s were from C-Group & J-Group
But yeah, this should put the most popular C & J girls at a higher advantage
TLDR: While the K-Group has more popular individuals than C-Group & J-Group, the most popular amongst C-Group & J-Group are those pretty much everyone wants which puts them at a higher advantage than K-Girls on average
