as a baggy pants warrior, im going to have to disagree with you there 
baggy clothes in general are super comfy, and there's lots of ways to style oversized, its not confined to one specific style.
ANDD when i was younger, i was very overweight, and all i wore were oversized shirts and hoodies.
While i still looked big, they did in fact help hide my shape and when i look back at pictures, the hoodies did in fact work cuz i was a lot bigger and it didn't show up. Just sayin, its tried and true.
