These rankings are determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of various girl groups.The Korean Business Research Institute statistics are released monthly. Our analysis provides a broader and more balanced view by combining the monthly rankings into annual averages. These rankings are based on social media metrics only. The popularity of the top groups is remarkably stable. The lower the rank, the more variable the rank distribution becomes.

aespa has shown the largest increase moving up two positions to 18th place since last month and up 19 positions from 37th place since half year ago. aespa is a four-member group which premiered in November 2020 with the digital single “Black Mamba”. On the other hand, Girls’ Generation has moved down one position since last month and down one position since half year ago. This is the first time in the four-year history that we have been maintaining this analysis that Girls’ Generation has dropped out of the top 10. (G)I-DLE has shown the largest decrease moving down two positions since last month and four positions since half year ago.
