    So on a previous thread the consensus of the users was that Asian making their hair curly was acceptable. To support their point they said there are Asians from China, Vietnam and Philippines with natural curly hair. Yet the hair type that still seems to remain problematic for Asians to adopt is dreadlocks and braids.


    But what about afros? In Asia there are also people with natural afros. It was more widespread in the past but the people mixed with other Asians, that share part of their ancestry with them.

    I think afro looks silly on non-black persons, but people can do whatever they want with their looks.

    Braids are absolutely traditional for a number of Central Asian nations.

    I don't know why they would be but white people get cancelled for saying they don't like the way dreadlocks, which may not be a race thing because many people who aren't POC wear the style, it's more of a personal taste

    Don't know why people care or even say anything unless they are asked because it doesn't really matter what anyone thinks of a style

    In short: Maybe yes, maybe no, depends what country they are in
