Jens Castrop will be first 'foreigner' ever called to Korean football national team. Altough his dad is German and mom is Korean, the midfielder playing in Borussia Monchengladbach was born and raised in Germany.
Till now there never was a player who would be born outside of South Korea and receive an call to play in national team. Everything changed after 22 year old Castrop decided to embrace his roots, and prepare all documents to take on Korean nationality, and leave German youth national team.
