It was called Boys Before Friends and was released in 2013.
I remember that before that remake was announced, I was being like "What if someone made an American remake of it?" (Not at me being a freaking psychic)
I remember though that some of them, who responded to me asking this, were all like "It would suck"
I remember watching all the episodes back then.
I was thinking "Maybe it is going to be good."
And well... it was a mess...
Like that series replaced the actress playing Zoey (AKA Jandi AKA Tsukushi) thrice.
They even relaced the actor playing Liam (AKA Junpyo AKA Tsukasa) once.
Originally, it was going to have 16 episodes but ended up only having 6.
Well... this makes me think of times when I have tried to make fanfic series, where the chapters are all just first drafts, and then I end up never finishing making that fanfic series.
And I remember there being a scene where some of the characters used a transphobic slur as an insult. (I can't remember if it was the mean girls calling Zoey that or vice versa)
