As it’s a Japanese album release, it’s more of a compilation of her last year’s worth of singles which includes some absolute bangers, especially ZeZeZeZettai Seiiki - speaking of which you should most definitely watch her perform it live:

I would also recommend this single from the album which shows her cutesy side that contrasts with her rock side:

Quick Primer to Ano (Ayano Shimizu)
If you’re new to Ano, here’s a quick primer (btw I am no Jpop expert, I am a K-pop fan who has become accidentally taken by her)
- She was originally in an alternative idol group called You’ll Melt More, she gained popularity as being the “weird one” - I would say their music is pretty amateurish so I wouldn’t recommend them.
- She is completely unhinged, on the one hand talking in a baby voice and on the other hand doing metal growls, fronting a punk band (I’s) and doing stage dives and crowd surfacing at her lives.
- Speaking of I’s, they are amazing and you should listen to them as well as Ano’s solo stuff!
- She’s a talented lyricist, composer and guitar player. She writes many of her songs and is great live.
- She’s super fashionable and has spawned her own “look” which many young Japanese girls imitate. If you follow any Japanese fashion blogs you’ve probably seen a hundred photos of her already.
- Her most famous song is ‘Chu, Tayousei’ which is the ending song for an infamous episode of Chainsaw Man (yep the one with the vomit kiss)
- She lands big endorsements like McDonalds and Coca-cola.
Chu, Tayousei:
