[RUMOR] Girls Planet 2 to air in the second half of 2025

Although nothing’s been confirmed by Mnet, there seems to be auditions happening for an mnet girl group survival show happening this year.

What are your thoughts on a possible GP2 airing this year? What idols do you think could appear? 👀

If they do a girls planet season 2 I hope the final lineup is bigger than 9. Preferably 11 as an ode to IOI and the fact that mnet hasn’t had an 11 member kpop girl group since them.

I only heard about Boys II Planet which was supposed to be broadcasted somewhere around summer 2025

but there was also that moment when they've extended application period to 23 march 2025, so two months more than they've planned

so maybe then Girls Planet 2 will happen earlier

I follow a lot of audition twitter accounts and someone (very trust worthy) confirmed from their friend in korea that Mnet is already filming and doing auditions privately.

I think it’d be wise for Mnet to do the girls season first since there’s no big girl group survival shows happening this year. Plus I’m excited for a girl group with a larger number of members.

Produces and all that had usually higher number of members

Girls Planet 999 had 9 but now Kep1er has just 7

R U Next? had 6 but now ILLIT has just 5

I-LAND 2 had 7 and this is number of members that izna still has

Overall maybe someone will take memo and debut 11-12 member group just keeping in mind that later on it will be easier to keep bigger chunk of group together, for example if 7 from 11 renew contracts that's still good group to follow

I wouldn’t be opposed to fewer trainees with a larger lineup. People’s faves will be more likely to make the group which lessens the post survival show hate trains and helps unite the fans of all the members.
