Penthouse question (please answer to save a soul!)

Did Shim Suryun really die? I know season 2 has the actress who is supposed to be her twin or something but like is it revealed that she actually Suryun at any point? I don’t mind a spoiler on this info. Is there any chance the real Suryun wasn’t actually killed?

I take back what I said about the writers
