    I wonder why no one nominated BTS for a Nobel Peace Prize candidate.


    If someone wins a Nobel Prize in Korea, that is a cause for military exemption, since it is very unlikely for someone to win it before reaching military age.


    The 2023 Nobel Peace Prize went to some organization in Iran. It could have gone to BTS , which would have made the younger 4 exempt and the services of the previous three would have ended immediately. (In Korea, there are military sport teams to enable athletes to continue to practice while they are in the military, and if they win an Olympic medal their services are considered to have finished.)
