I think every state should follow their example. It would become far more difficult for a few corrupt coastal cities to dictate policy to the entire country.

There could be a tie! I was playing around with an interactive map (with Maine and Nebraska splitting their votes), and I found out that a tie could happen like this in any presidential election:
If a tie were to happen, the House of Representatives would vote for the President.
