My take exactly. I find the opposite approach narrow minded and too conventional.
As long as it's intentional artisticly and not just inability or trend chasing i agree with that.
Some artists just have a minimalistic approch to music. And it’s perfectly fine.
But the more minimalistic you get, the more craft, more skills and more vision you need to have to not pass for a fool and embarass yourself.
it's not an easy exercise, it's a very subtle and delicate one actually.
