Girl groups tend to be big for a bit and then the next latest and greatest thing comes along and fans move on. This doesnt mean that the gg isnt still popular but its not like when they debuted. They tend to have really young fans and guys. Boy groups tend to hold fans because its mostly us women that are fans and we pick a bias and stick with them :)
