Queen of Tears becomes TvN’s biggest #1 drama surpassing CLOY and #3 among all Kdrama with finale episode

According to polling firm Nielsen Korea, “Queen of Tears” episode 16 on April 28 got a nationwide rating of 24.85 percent, its highest to date. It was watched by 6.39 million people.

This eclipsed the nationwide rating “Crash Landing on You,” which got 21.683 percent for its 16th and final episode on Feb. 16, 2020.

With this, “Queen of Tears” has achieved the record for the highest drama rating on tvN.

In addition, the 24.85 percent also surpassed the rating of channel JTBC’s drama “Sky Castle” of 23.779 percent. This made “Queen of Tears” the third highest rated drama on cable TV overall in South Korea.

Having played numerous roles in the past, Kim Ji Won explained what the role of Hong Hae In meant to her. Kim Ji Won revealed, “Hong Hae In will remain [in my memories] as a four-leaf clover to me. Actually, there is not that much time that the character spends despairing. Although she has a difficult time, she overcomes it quickly, and she puts in effort to do so,” comparing how her character’s strength and hope when overcoming difficult situations are like a four-leaf clover.
