Night Yokan has everything the Koreans like.
I don't really care how the song of the former owner of Edam Entertainment does in spotify , etc.
It looks like by next week Night Yokan will beat Love Wins All and snatch the Yearly #1 from Melon, as well as the Song of the Year award from Melon.
The reason is Lee Jieun had put songs palatable to the foreign fans in anticipation for the world tour, while Night Yokan, lyrics and music from Jang Kiha, who was Lee Jieun's ex and knows her music style, was done in her former style which is liked by Koreans.
She expected the Koreans would remain loyal to her no matter what she released, but with two years of absence, the Korean taste changed, and it did not help that Jang Kiha knew her style of music quite well and found how to beat it.
It is likely that Night Yokan will beat Love Wins All next week, and if it can survive March, it will be the yearly #1, a huge victory for Jang Kiha.
