China doles out punishments for bands caught lip syncing at concerts

  • I think this would be less of an issue than people think. Groups would just adjust their performance/choreos to allow for full live singing.

Of course then people will probably find something else to complain about so we'll just end up with those complaints instead in addition to shaky-ass vocals and less intense and fun choreos. Groups with weaker vocal lines will get dragged more and won't be able to make it up with their performance skills.

  • I would honestly love it if they had the same ban in Korea. Does it only prohibit lipsyncing 100% of the song or would does it also include singing only some parts though? :melon_think:

Skipping some lines during intense choreo makes a lot of sense for the overall performance quality.

Actually forcing every line to be sung live would probably downgrade the choreos. Even groups who excel at it like NMIXX skip a lot of lines during their stages, even if they're capable of doing a 100% live in the dance practices, it's probably not something you could ever realistically expect them to do daily while promoting.
