Despite what many people are saying that The Idol was Jennie's biggest mistake, she did it because it was right FOR her. She wanted a way into the Western entertainment industry and this was her "in".
I'm not a BPink or Jennie fan and was never interested in that group but even I could tell that she's not the type who would spend the rest of her life dancing for girls leaving hate comments on Pann and old incels leaving hate comments on Naver.
So good for her. I'm sure she knew there would be controversy and she was prepared. If this is what she wanted then her fans should be happy for her.
