Welcome to my world is ...

  • ...the best song SM released since Psycho and since INVU and probably the best song released this year by a GG. (Welcome to my world, Ditto, Cupid are my top 3)

WTMW is pure beauty, dreamy, mysterious and majestic. And so freaking catchy! (Specially the 'this city's so pretty when your lights on' is pure eargasm :lighter-pepe: )

I thought Unhappy would be my fav but nope WTMW is far superior. That song transcends kpop.

I can hear the SM superior quality music spark in it again.

  • Agree, Welcome to my world sounds like quality over charts, it's hard to kpop song doesn't repeat a word or phrase in a aggressive way to sound more catchy, WTMW is rather calm and intriguing.

Yeah well im sure if it was promoted as a lead title track it would have done better on the charts too actually :eyes:

But yes i agree, and wtmw is actually pretty addictive but not in an annoying or agressive manners. It's beautifullly addictive. An aquirred test sort of addiction. it like stays stuck and want you to come back over and over again and since the melodies are not too repetitive or strong it feels like you can listen to the song like a 100 times and not get tired :S .

I think this song is musically speaking a masterpiece in it's genra but also beyond. It also flows in perfectly well with aespa's identity and develops their lore when the y2k vibes and aesthetics feel a bit forced.

Saddly I don't think is the kinda of song that charts well in SK when is a group releasing it, even as a lead tt. One of These Nights is an amazing song, but flopped hard. Overall SK seems to prefer ballads or slower songs released by soloists (or groups that have a purely vocal image, like BTOB). I'm happy we have this masterpiece in the album anyway, was even bold from sm to release WTMW as a pre-release, when all the other groups release songs that are typical kpop tts (even aespa with Illusion, a song that I love, but more commercial than WTMW)
