$570 million in 23 years is about $25 million per year, which I think is modest.
There was a certain singer who owned her own company.
IN 2021, she earned 29 billion KRW, which was around $25 million at that time.
Total costs were about 7.3 billion KRW, or about $6.3 million with the exchange rate at that time. Some of the costs might have been paid as costs to company owned by the owner's relatives.
The owner of the company collected 16 billion won, or $1.3 million, for herself. That is not included in the above cost.
Basically, the owner of Edam Entertainment took $18.7 million for herself, to buy a $11.7 million condo (where, ironically, Lee Sooman also is reported to own a unit there, presumably larger than the then-owner of Edam Entertainment, but) , travel to Japan with an actor, and other activities not conducive for the growth of Edam Entertainment.
Compared to that owner of an entertainment company, the money Lee Sooman took is almost modest. He owns a lot of artists - why not he take the share of his money, when a company with only one artist has an owner who takes $18 million in one year?
(I am not counting stocks and other stuff, still the comparison should be obvious)
