Even without luxury brand deals, BTS remained to be the highest paid in advertising for a Korean celebrities. I've always thought that they were usually underestimated in making money in advertisements just because they weren't endorsing a luxury brand, but BTS surely did bring in a lot of money. Earning 55M USD in 2021 in ads just like that.
That entire list may not be accurate but BTS' numbers are matching up quite well with HYBE's financial report.
In 2019 to 2020, BTS obviously hard-carried like 98% of the advertising revenue as they were the only artists in HYBE with numerous big cfs. TXT was only a rookie back then. Then in 2021, BTS more likely contributed atleast 65% of 100 billion won in advertising revenues. The remaining % were from other artists like TXT & SVT and some management fees from the artists of ITHACA HOLDINGS.
It's important to note that every year, BTS brand value increases so as their cf fee. See how HYBE's advertising revenue went up from 20B won in 2019, then more than doubled it to 46B won in the next year. It all tied up to BTS popularity and brand name.
The irony is, a bunch of Kpop fans used to mock BTS because they don't endorse fashion houses, yet BTS is making so much money in advertising than everyone else, and they don't even have to do it as their career.
