Bollywood film: Qala on Netflix: Triptii Dimri, Babil Khan, Amit Sial, Varun Grover

Right? It’s so sad and heartbreaking to see this roll out because I can already tell this one will be a tragedy. The mother is soo cruel and caused her to always seek her mother’s love and inferiority complex. I also blame the doctor for telling the mom that the healthy baby took the nutrients from the weak baby and causes its death without proper explanation because we know the mother blames Qala for her brother’s death and therefore not able to fulfill that musical dreams of her to have her husband’s legacy live on etc.

The music in this film is gorgeous - so many good songs.

I am only half way in the film….

OMG did she —- out of jealousy put something in Jagar’s milk, taking away his voice, and caused his suicide?!? That is why she’s having a mental breakdown because both her mom and her knows it?!?

Mercury is silver and she was wearing a pale blue dress when she gives him the milk; the film uses the silver/blue color schemes to depict her guilt and breakdown. Brilliant!

This was a good film despite the heavy subject matter and I am glad they had a note at the end for the suicide hotline.

The mother realized her neglect and emotional abuse but it is toooooo late. I knew tragedy was coming but this scene still hit me hard. Ugh. (T.T)

She will now have to bear this guilt too. She lost both talents because of her lack of empathy for her own daughter.
