Description:
Set in 1940s Kolkata, Qala chronicles the complicated relationship between a young singer and her mother. Will all her sacrifices be worth the success she gets?
Anyone else watched it? Just wanted to share in case there others that are interested and wanted to chat. It’s one of those movies that should be discussed.
I am watching it now and it’s a psychological drama too! Between the main character and her mom - they have serious relationship issues that has huge consequences and it is has a mystery element too.
Acting is on-point, music is lovely, cinematography, set design, and costumes are all beautiful too.
Edit: I didn’t even recognized Tripti Dimri but I also enjoyed her in Bulbbul - she looks so different due to the styling for this time period.
