Also companies: we are going to produce millions of disposable plastic CDs, albums to be shipped across the world, lots and lots of cheap plastic merch, fashion that is going to be used a couple times for perfs/MV and then thrown away etc

Remember during the pandemic the "we are in it together" bullshit? Or recently with energy prices sky rocketing but shareholders get record profits/bonuses.

Last year our local council sent letters to residents informing everyone we need to take action to stop climate change. We have to make the biggest steps. Ok sounds good, so what's the plan?

Their idea was to enforce stricter recycling policies and put out a huge multi purpose recycling bin in our area. A year later and all residents recycling bin is all taken by the same bin truck (so all the paper, glass, plastic is mixed and crushed together making it hard to separate afterward) and that multi purpose bin they were talking about? It lasted 2 months and was never emptied to the point broken glass bottles were left on the pavement and the idea scrapped because it was too dangerous for pedestrians.
